National Portrait Gallery

Andy Thomas 2002 by Montalbetti + CampbellFrom April 2008 the National Portrait Gallery vacated its premises at Old Parliament House and Commonwealth Place in preparation for our relocation to a new National Portrait Gallery building in the Parliamentary Triangle.

A new and dynamic suite of programs will commence in the new building in February 2009.

The National Portrait Gallery Collections offer a distinctive learning opportunity. Students will participate in interactive themed learning programs facilitated by specially trained gallery educators using an inquiry based learning approach to engage them in a study of portraiture.

Bookings are essential.
